apple picking

One of my favorite fall activities is picking apples. Fortunately, we chose a most perfect day to go do it too. The weather was a nice 72 degrees with virtually no humidity (hard to come by in the midwest) and a wonderful breeze. Grandma and Grandpa Rapp were in town, so they came along to enjoy a great day outdoors. We have a beautiful orchard just a few miles from our home that we visit to pick peaches, apples and pumpkins. The kids gorge themselves on apples, and then we bring plenty home so that I can make a yummy apple crisp.

What a fun activity! Your kids are so beautiful. And the setting was stunning. I can't believe how big your little guy is already--how does the time go by so fast??

Sounds heavenly!! You have inspired me to look up an apple-picking farm in our area. Who knows if we'll do it before the baby comes? But it just sounds like the perfect September activity. Great pictures!

Great photos! It doesn't hurt that your family and children are so gorgeous! I also can't believe your little one is looking so big. Time does seem to fly. Is it possible that Fall magnifies the feeling of time rushing by and standing still all at once? I love this time of year.
